Introduction

A briological team composed by María J. Cano, Juan A. Jiménez and Marta Alonso from University of Murcia (Spain) carried out an expedition to Central Peru (Ancash, Pasco, Huánuco, and Lima) in May-June of 2013. This trip was funded by Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation through the project “Studies in the family Pottiaceae in South America. Phase III” (CGL2010-15959). This exploration was carried out thanks to the cooperation of Asunción Cano of University San Marcos of Lima (USM). We wish to acknowledge the assistance of J. Molina. About 800 specimens of bryophytes were collected, keeping at MUB and USM.
